CODE FIRST GIRLS LAUNCHES IN THE US

SPONSORED CFGDEGREE PLACES (USA)

After five years providing learning opportunities in coding for women across the UK and Ireland, Code First Girls is excited to share that we are launching a new partnership with Rolls-Royce to provide CFGodegree scholarships for women in the United States.

Code First Girls has a rich relationship with Rolls-Royce, and has already provided coding education to hundreds of women through their partnership. The CFGdegree is a new offering from Code First Girls, each CFGdegree offering over £10,000 ($13,800) worth of free education developed in partnership with top tech employers to deliver a direct path to a career in technology.

SPECIALIZE IN SOFTWARE OR DATA

Our CFGdegree will run over 12 weeks with an option to specialise in either data or software. This opportunity will be open by application and interview to high potential women who want a career at Rolls-Royce in data or software. Each candidate will complete a six-weeks foundation layer followed by eight-weeks in their specialisation area.

LEARNING LINKED TO EMPLOYMENT @ ROLLS-ROYCE

Code First Girls is committed to connecting their learning opportunities to career paths by investing in women’s skills. The tech industry has shown incredible resilience and growth through the trials of the past year, and opportunities in tech can provide an exciting new opportunity for women who have been negatively impacted by the pandemic.

In line with this, the CFGdegree scholarships will lead to roles working with the rapidly growing R² Data Labs team at Rolls-Royce. An exciting opportunity not to be missed, the successful applicants will have the opportunity to work as software engineers, data ops managers, or scrum managers, further developing their skills and playing a pivotal role in the growth of AI applications in manufacturing and the rollout of Industry 4.0.

Applications are now closed.
