We have a range of women – from tech returners, to mums, to career changers, those fresh out of school or those simply wanting to upskill – take part in our Coding Kickstarter courses.
We offer learning areas across JavaScript, Python, Data & SQL and C# to get you started (with more in the pipeline!)

FREE LEARNING
Our free Coding Kickstarter classes are a course designed to fit around your studies or a full-time job that will combine coaching, training, and community to learn the skills you need to change or accelerate your career.
Our classes consist of 8 lessons and are fully self-paced, allowing you to learn around your own schedule. We work with various amazing companies to make this opportunity FREE for all learners.
Open to all women and non-binary people 18+, we have a range of learners from school leavers, to mums, career switchers, or those wanting to upskill or reskill.
We primarily offer courses across the UK but also run OPEN INTERNATIONAL courses plus specific international locations, sponsored by our partner companies.

JavaScript is one of the most used programming languages in the world! Boost your coding skills with this introductory class where you’ll learn about JavaScript. At the end of the class you’ll be able to start coding using JavaScript across a range of applications.

A beginner-friendly course to learn the fundamentals of programming through problem-solving in Python. Build and deploy your first web application with us using this high-level programming language! At the end of the course, you’ll be able to start work on apps and back-end coding.

We have a mix of client-sponsored places in specific locations and open international classes across Python & Apps, JavaScript or Data & SQL. Our open international courses are available each month and are available to women and non-binary candidates located anywhere across the world who would like to learn how to code.

A comprehensive introduction to the JavaScript language, suitable for all levels. You’ll learn how to build powerful and dynamic web applications using vanilla JavaScript. We take you from variables and data types to building real-world interactive sites. Whether you’re a complete beginner or a more experienced developer looking to expand your knowledge, this course is perfect for helping you understand essential JavaScript concepts and apply them to your own projects.

FAQS
Yes, currently all of our classes take place once a week 18:30 to 20.30 GMT (or BST in Summer). We are working on providing more varied class timing options for our community.
Coding Kickstarter classes run for 8-weeks, with one 2-hour session per week. These introduction classes are best for those wanting to start out their coding journey and will give you a solid introduction to Python and Apps, Web Development or Data and SQL. We also offer JavaScript classes, but we would recommend familiarising yourself with HTML and CSS first through our Web Dev classes. These sessions are taught live by instructors and certified. Once completed, you will be eligible to apply for our CFGdegree programme.
If you have not heard back within 7 working days, you have been automatically added to a waiting list. We have a large number of applicants and only around 40-45 places per class. For each class, we can receive up to 3X times as many applications per place! If you are not accepted onto the course you initially applied for, we will place you on an alternative course within 6 months of your application. Each eligible student will be given a space, so there is no need to re-apply. If you are on the waiting list and a student drops out, you will be offered a place which is reserved for a set amount of time. You can then register to confirm your space in the classes.
To align with our CFGdegree pathways, from August 2024 we will no longer be running Kickstarter Classes in Web Dev.
We’ll still have regular free online Kickstarter Classes in Python, Javascript and Data & SQL. If you’d like an intro to Web Dev, then check out our Web Dev MOOCs!
