In the first week of the Foundation students will develop their JavaScript knowledge, one of the most used programming languages in the world. They will boost their coding skills by learning introductory web development concepts, including JavaScript variables, components and React.

Learn about the fundamentals of programming principles. In these weeks, students explore such topics as data structures, APIs, libraries, testing, and problem-solving.

During weeks 5-6 of the Foundation students will develop their JavaScript knowledge, one of the most used programming languages in the world. They will boost their coding skills by learning introductory web development concepts, including JavaScript variables, components and React. Students will also have a mini-break to recap on learning and revise before the first assessment.

Students knowledge will be developed to the next level with weeks 7-8 of the course. In these weeks they will dive deeper into Python including areas such as scripting, building APIs and micro-services, and debugging. They will also learn about Regex, Functional Programming, and level-up with data visualisation, learning about both Tableau and Power BI. 

They will also have time to test your knowledge and practise your coding in week seven.

Halfway there! We break for a reading week where students can catch up on any studies, continue practising their new skills, or have a few days of R&R.

Now that the foundation layer of learning has completed, the CFGdegree software specialisation starts to build out further with topics such as Object Orientated Programming and Python data structures, stacks and queues.

In this part of the course, students delve deeper into complex data structures, exploring topics like linked lists, recursion programming and graphs.

The final weeks of the course students will grow their knowledge and skills across algorithms and algorithm design. There will also be a final assessment as part of the course certification.

DATA CAREER PATHWAY​

PRODUCT MANAGEMENT CAREER PATHWAY

The skills taught in our Product Management CFGdegree will allow candidates to explore a product management career pathway, with roles in digital product management, growth product management, and technical product manager just to name a few!

After completing the foundation layer of learning, your CFGdegree Product Management specialisation starts to build out further, kicking off with a deep dive into product manager role and responsibilities.

Students explore areas such as product vision, product lifecycle, product manager types and project work. Students will gain knowledge in product initiation through market research, product mapping, prioritisation, development tools, data analysis and financials. 

In this part of the course, students delve deeper into user experience design, prototyping, user story capture, hands on workshops and building the project alongside the development team. They will learn how to weigh trade offs between product requirements, design requirements, engineering efforts and quality in the development process.

The final weeks of the course they will grow their knowledge and skills across managing your team and learning more about agile methodology and scrum master role. They will have a deep dive into quality assurance, testing and bug catching prioritisation, and product metrics to measure success. They will learn best practices in product documentation and iteration and develop various skills through assessment and final project presentation.

FULL-STACK DEVELOPER CAREER PATHWAY

The skills taught in our Full-Stack CFGdegree will allow candidates to explore all sorts of roles as a developer as they will learn both front-end and back-end skills, and how to connect the two. They wil  be able to take on roles like full-stack developer, front-end developer, back-end developer, mobile app developer and loads more!

Students explore areas such as HTML, CSS (incl. Bootstrap), JavaScript, React and get into areas like design, interfaces, including  UX/UI concepts.

In this part of the course, students delve deeper into navigation, Router props, React hooks and progress onto TypeScript.

The final weeks of the course they will grow their knowledge and skills across version control, debugging, Linux, and the integration of back-end with front-end. There will also be a final assessment as part of the course certification.
